What’s new on box office this week?

As the long weekend flew by (more quickly than we expected it to), the thought of the working weeks coming at us with full speed terrifies us. For most of us with jobs, the idea of having fun through the week becomes tiresome, especially if you are perpetually exhausted like us. However, to make the best of such scenarios, movies are the best kind of escapades and luckily enough, we all are spoilt with many interesting choices at our disposal.

Among the recent releases, two Bollywood blockbusters Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho have made the audience go gaga over the talented Ayushmann Khurrana, once again.

Andhadhun revolves around the life of a blind pianist has cooked up quite a storm and has become the highest ever lifetime grosser of Ayushmann Khurrana’s career. While he continues to be on fire, Badhaai Ho starring him and Sanya Malhotra was released on October 18 and also been a phenomenal success, earning praises for the cast as well its heart-warming content.   • 5 Weddings
    The Rajkummar Rao, Nargis Fakhri, Bo Derek and Candy Clark starrer was released on the big screens, just two days ago on October 26th. With huge hopes set on the new chocolate boy of Bollywood, the romantic-comedy revolves around an American journalist who travels to India to cover Bollywood weddings.   • Halloween
    Silver Bear winner David Gordon Green’s Halloween also released on October 26th and is all set to blow your minds off. The movie is the eleventh in the Halloween film series, and is a sequel to the 1978 film of the same name. Released in Toronto International Film Festival in September, Halloween earned great reviews from the critics. Some have said that is the best Halloween sequel and a return to form for the series. The horror movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak and Will Patton is based on a Halloween night and just the trailer will give you the chills and you can book the tickets right here.

  • Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween
    Continuing with the horror theme because of Halloween, our childhood horror favourite Goosebumps 2 released last Friday. The movie starring starring Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jack Black and Ken Jeong is more of a horrow-comedy based on the books by R.L. Stine.   • Kaashi
    With Sharman Joshi in the lead role, Kaashi is a story of a distraught brother who is in search of his missing sister Ganga. Aishwarya Devan debuts in the movie and plays the role of a journalist, by helping Kaashi find Ganga. Things get interesting, when people refuse to even believe that Ganga exists.   • Bazaar
    The Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte starrer hit the screens on Friday. It is a first for Rohan Mehra and also stars Chitrangada Singh. Bazaar centres around the busy life of Mumbai and the dangerous stock trading world. It shows the ruthless side of a businessman and his love for maths and money.
